As the snow piles up in Montana, we are thinking of spring. After an unusually warm fall, we’ve had a fairly harsh winter. Now the days are getting a little longer and spring fishing is close at hand. It’s time to get the drift boats and rafts out of storage and ready them for the season. Our first guided fly fishing trip was on a warm February day last year. Our area in South West Montana has had just below average snowfall so far, but cold temps. Hopefully the mountains will keep getting snow all winter and into the spring.
This year we are again offering through Yellowstone Mountain Guides, a back country trip into Yellowstone National Park to fish the famous Slough Creek. This will be August 2 though the 5th. A ten mile horseback ride to camp, then two full days of guided fishing. All meals, tents, and sleeping bags are provided. This is limited to one group of at the max 8 guests.
